The nearest large town to the campsite. It has a couple of large supermakets, a twice weekly market and daily fish market. The town is split into the commercial-residential heart and then the seaside part which has a huge esplanade many restaurants and superb beaches.
Many activities are available ranging from the usual sea bathing sand castle building to yachting (sand and sail) , golf and a casino.
There are plenty of organised weekend spectacles , mini rugby, show jumping (Sept), beach cinema (high season evenings) , firework displays and the national music festivals (usually about the 21st June every year), Fete National (Bastille Day 14th July )
St Jean is widely known as kids town just for the sheer number of activities just for children of all ages.
